The Homeless Angel

Rising early the woman grabs her list of the items she needs to get at the retail store. She rushes out to the car thinking about all the chores she has lined up and errands she has to run.

Pulling into the parking lot she glances at a man standing under a tree at the edge of the parking lot. He’s unshaven and dressed in heavy clothes, a stocking cap covers his messy brown hair and military style boots to keep his feet warm. His small hand printed sign asks for work.

She ignores him in her rush to get her items and go on with her day. She grabs the shopping cart and wastes no time rushing up and down the isles checking off the items on her list as she tosses one item after another into the cart.

Loading the items into her trunk she takes a deep breath as she starts the car and slowly backs out. Stopping at the stop sign she looks over at the man. There are no people around him, all the cars are parked near the front of the store, not at the far end of the parking lot.

He looks at her, and then away.

She drives down the road to the next stop light and hears the Lord say, “Go back and ask what he needs.”

“But Lord…”

“Turn around and go back.” He states.

She makes an illegal U-turn and pulls into the parking lot beside the man and rolls her window down.

He steps toward the car and looks intently at her.

“I don’t have any work for you but is there something you need that I can help you with?” She asks.

“Thank you, Ma’am. I need food.”

“I’m not going to give you money but if you’ll go into the store I’ll buy you what you need. Where are you staying?”

The rugged-looking man explains that he, his wife, and little girl were evicted and they’re staying with his wife’s mother but the mother refuses to let him in the house other than to go to the bathroom. He has a tent pitched in the back yard that he sleeps in. He then suggests a gift card for the store and that way he can get what his wife needs.

Contemplating what to do, the woman finally says, “I’ll get you a gift card if you promise me and God you will not buy booze with it.”

“I don’t drink or do drugs, Ma’am and I promise not to buy them.”

As she pulls forward she hears him say, “God bless you Ma’am.”

She quickly buys him a gift card and rushes back out. She rushes to the place where she spoke with the man. She doesn’t see him so she drives around the parking lot looking for him.

The homeless man is nowhere to be found. He just disappeared in a moment’s time.

I call him my homeless angel.

The Spirit’s Alive

Cars line to enter the already packed parking lot. The sun is bright and hot but it hasn’t detoured the saints from coming. People are already standing at the doors waiting to enter the sanctuary and the women fan themselves as the men wipe sweat from their brow.

Music can be heard sifting through the rafters and seeping through the walls. The vibration can almost be felt in their feet as the excitement grows.

Suddenly the doors are thrown open and thousands rush to find a seat. The music reverberates through the room and hands have already started to clap, bodies are dancing between the rows of seats, and others are doing little jigs as they walk down the isles.

The music softens just a bit and through the loud speakers, as the stragglers search for a seat, a voice roars, “Are you ready to worship the Lord?” The crowd roars, “Yes,” and the drums, guitars, and key board roars over the crowd.

Praise songs are sung, the music is ear-bursting loud, but nobody complains as they dance at their seats, raise their hands high in the air, and give the Lord their praises through the words of the songs.

The Man isn’t seen but He’s watching and listening.

The devil runs as the room is filled with His glory.

The drums quiet, the keyboard softens, and the voices fill the room in hushed reverence. Tears are filling eyes, heads are bowed, and the sound of “Holy is our Lord God Almighty,” is being sung softly.

A Wind blows across the room and suddenly the heavens are opened. Standing before the King is a choir of thousands and their voices are joining with the saints in this room.

Shekinah glory fills the room. Heavenly light flows through the room. Some fall under the Power, they cannot stand, and yet they worship.

As the song ends, Jehovah Elyon’s eye’s fill with tears of love and joy.

He has been magnified.

Revealed! The Democrat Power Play is in Serious Trouble – Christine Blasey Ford has Overwhelming Credibility Issues

(The Olive) The Brett Kavanaugh circus is a trial in search of a crime, sound familiar?  The Mueller witch-hunt, hoax, whatever you want to call it is an attempt by Deep State players to discredit and bring down Trump – all based on unverified and false information.  In the same manner, the Leftist attack mob is determined to stop Brett Kavanaugh from being appointed to the Supreme Court, no matter what it takes.

All claims of sexual misconduct of course need to be taken seriously.  At the same time however, there needs to be clear evidence that a crime occurred – there is not a shred of credible evidence at this point.

The accuser, Christine Blasey Ford has done a spectacular job of making herself look bad, and has serious credibility issues.  Ford cannot remember the year the alleged attempted rape happened, or where it happened, or how she got home.  Correct me if I’m wrong, but if something were that traumatic, wouldn’t she remember some details?  Then there is the fact that this alleged incident happened over 30 years ago, and she is first bringing this up now when Brett Kavanaugh is in the process of being confirmed to the Supreme Court of the United States?  Seems more than a little fishy to this writer.

When Christine Blasey Ford was asked to testify on this matter, (remember she felt compelled to write the letter about this alleged incident) she refused to testify.  While the Democrats are crying foul on every aspect of the hearings, Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Chuck Grassley even went so far as to offer to fly committee staff out to California to meet with Mrs. Ford – she again refused.

Let us also not forget that concerned patriot Senator Dianne Feinstein sat on this letter for two months!  Obviously that was done on purpose so that the Dems could hopefully derail the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings until after the midterms.

The case for Christine Blasey Ford’s credibility is going from bad to worse. In this writer’s opinion, the accusations have no merit, and this is merely a very nasty smear job meant to destroy a very good man and his family.

FBI investigation of Kavanaugh

The Democrats and Christine Blasey Ford want the FBI to investigate this alleged incident with Kavanaugh – there is one little problem here, an alleged rape attempt is not a federal crime so the FBI does not have jurisdiction in this.  This is a matter for the local and county police to look into, except that there is nothing to look into.  The other issue is that – it is blindingly obvious that while Ford desires an investigation into Brett Kavanaugh, she most definitely does not want anyone investigating her, remember Ford erased her online presence.  Doesn’t this college-educated professor understand that an investigation would unearth the facts concerning her as well as Kavanaugh?

Imagine if you will this scenario:

A woman walks into a police station and demands a crime be investigated.  When asked about the crime she replies to questions – no, I have no idea when this happened, I don’t know where it happened or who was all there, but I know it happened.  Uh yeah, ok.  Then the woman states that she is also not going to discuss this with investigators.  Would anyone take her seriously?

This lynching of Brett Kavanaugh that was instigated by Christine Blasey Ford does need to be taken seriously.  The stakes here are extremely high, and there is much to lose here.

What is at stake in the Kavanaugh hearings?

The Democrats are once again playing games, deadly serious games, but games nonetheless.  The Dems are attempting to change the narrative and Brett Kavanaugh is a very definite threat to that ideological change the Democrats are so desperate to make.

1) The Democrats are afraid of Roe vs. Wade being overturned, not likely to happen anyway.  The Leftists want an abortion friendly judge appointed to the Supreme Court who will uphold “women’s rights.”

2) The Democrats also want a judge that aligns with the Left, in other words a judge that is not a constitutionalist meaning he or she is perfectly willing to legislate from the bench rather than interpreting the law through the lens of the Constitution.

3) Kavanaugh would be much more likely to side with Second Amendment rights verses the Leftist’s desperate calls for gun control, so Kavanaugh is a no-go.

4) Kavanaugh is likely to side with free speech and the rights that go with it.  A Left leaning judge would be supportive of hate speech laws, and the power of the government over the rights of We the People.

5) Kavanaugh will interpret the Constitution as written and the Democrats can’t have that.  The progressives want a judge that views the Constitution as a living breathing document, so it can therefore be reinterpreted to conform to the times.

It also bears mention here that the entire liberal playbook, as well as the Democrat’s criminal activity is at even greater risk of being disrupted and found out.  A Supreme Court that leans to the Right is not at all good for the Dems.  The Supreme Court should be solely focused on their primary job only – the interpretation of the law as it relates to the Constitution.  There should be no Left or Right bias, but there is.

A Democrat victory in successfully opposing and stopping the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh would only strengthen the Democrats as they attempt to change the narrative in a huge way, thereby influencing Americans in the way that they see and perceive the various issues.

The Democrat narrative

  • Murdering babies (abortion) is good, it’s a woman’s right to choose
  • Islam is a religion of peace and they deserve a place here in the U.S
  • Open borders are what is best for this country, all people deserve to come to the U.S.
  • Transgender and homosexuality are normal and natural
  • God MUST be removed from society
  • Conservatives MUST be silenced
  • More government is better
  • Socialism is in the best interests of this country
  • Any opinion that conflicts with the Left’s opinion is hate speech
  • Democrat’s can commit any crime and get away with it, Republicans and all others must pay
  • Schools must teach revisionist history, as well as the fact that America is bad
  • Free speech not sanctioned by the Left cannot be tolerated. (Banning of Alex Jones alone proves this)

I imagine some of you are thinking this writer has run off the rails, but I assure you all the information in this article is relevant to Brett Kavanaugh.  Everything is intertwined, and it is very complex, Democratic manipulation is very well thought out, and very well executed – do not forget for one second that the better part of the feckless American media is on their side, not ours.

Just as President Trump is a major threat to the Democratic Party, so too is Brett Kavanaugh in his future as an associate Supreme Court Justice.

Everything the Democrats do is aimed at increasing their power, nothing is ever done for We the People – that is the mantra they present, but if you believe this, you are a fool.  In the Democrats minds, We the People can go to Hell, as long as the Demoncrats get their way, and can continue to run the U.S. into the ground.  All the while the Dems are paving the way for the One World Government – while enriching themselves, it’s all good.

Angels Among Us

Had a knock on the door recently and two men and one lady wanted to talk to me about ANGELS – I was gobsmacked to say the least because Angels were far and away from my thoughts at that moment.

They chatted about this amazing new world that was coming and the mighty part that Angels will have on that day – I was taken aback a tad and struggled a lot in what they were saying.

Right at the outset of this blog I must admit that I don’t know a lot about angels – all I do know is that they are heavenly beings created by God and worship Him constantly – also they are there for specific reasons such as announcing very special events such as the birth of Jesus and many more events recorded in the Word of God.

Getting back to my visitors that Saturday morning, and I must add here that they did sweep me away with their knowledge of angels and their purpose.

I had nowhere to go really except to say that I did indeed believe in Angels and their purpose specifically granted to them by God almighty.

I did say however, and I suppose this was the reason they left my home shaking their heads, convinced I was way out of line and utterly wrong, was that I truly believed that Jesus was higher than the Angels and in fact he was equal with God and part of the triune Godhead being the Father, Son and Spirit. I quoted John 10:30 when Jesus spoke to His disciples saying “I and the Father are one”.

Before they left, they told me that “Jesus is like God – He’s close to God BUT he is not God”. It was at this point that I said to them “Jesus is Jehovah to me” – and that’s when they left me.

In Isaiah 6:1-7 we find angels in the vision of Isaiah touching his lips with burning coals in an act of consecration. In this vision we see the primary acts of these amazing creations of God standing or flying around and above God’s very throne continually declaring God’s holiness. They exist simply to attribute worth to God. announcing the perfection of His character. These powerful, majestic beings are perfectly fulfilled doing nothing other than worshiping God.

It’s amazing, when we think of it, that the very act of worship and praise that we offer to God is resoundingly upheld by the angels in God’s presence doing exactly the same thing. We are not alone in our worship, Angels are continually before God’s throne.

Throughout the scriptures, as already mentioned there have been a lot of recorded instances when we see angels visiting. Sodom and Gomorrah is a prime example – appearing in human form these heavenly creatures rescued Lot and his family from the destruction that befell those cities.

Another example is when an Angel appeared to Elijah suffering from an acute bout of depression and hunger when Jezebel was out to execute him. Angels appeared to Abram and Sarai announcing the impending birth of Isaac in their old age. And so it goes on many times recorded for us.

There doesn’t appear to be in the Bible a mention of personal or guardian angels mentioned in the Bible but there have been recorded plenty of instances when people have actually seen angels guiding them and in all sorts of situations.

In her book Tramp for the Lord, Corrie Ten Boom that amazing woman arrested by the Nazi’s for protecting and hiding Jewish people during the holocaust was convinced that angels protected her when she was openly on a bus smuggling bibles. Apparently guards boarded the bus she was on and searched everyone looking for contraband of any description.

If she had been caught she would have been arrested, imprisoned and even death was a possibility. As the soldiers approached searching everyone seated there, she closed her eyes and literally felt a presence guarding and protecting her – the searching soldiers went straight past her and continued the search.

Hard to explain but surely if our powerful God sent angels to protect and guide people thousands of years ago the same can be said of today.

Esther Mass, well known to dozens of missionary kids around the world, was on her way to church on April 13, 1988. A short distance from home she was involved in a car accident. Almost immediately a man approached at her van door. He took Esther’s hand and at his touch a comforting peace spread over her. The man was in his thirties, he wore tan work clothes and needed a shave. He asked one bystander to call 911.

When Esther asked his name, he said he couldn’t tell her his name but that she would be fine. He stayed until the emergencies crew arrived and then was gone. He may not have been an angel but his ministry fits with what we know from the Bible about what angelic care is like.

Then of course we see hundreds of times when no matter how hard we may pray we are not spared the trials and tribulations we may be going through.

All I know is that our God is awesome, holy and so mighty – How can we puny humans put our mind into the mind of God – of course we can’t.

We just have to have faith knowing that our mighty God is the mighty God who saved us and that there are tens of thousands of angels surrounding his throne glorifying His holy name and that one day we will know for certain just why and how these amazing events take place.

As Christians we live in a world of crisis and security alerts – every day we seem to face some new threat. Even spiritual enemies are out to deceive us. We should take heart because our strength is in the protection of the Lord no matter in what form it takes.

I’m Not Less Than…

In every home there is usually some sort of do’s and do not’s lain down for the children. Don’t run in the street, don’t touch the stove fire, take the garbage out, make your bed, don’t hit your sister/brother. Each child is taught what they should and should not do.

But what about healthy boundaries? What is a boundary? It is a line drawn in the sand, so to speak, that another can not cross. “You will not hit my sister, you will not use bad language in my presence, you will not break the vows of our marriage.” These are just a few of what is called healthy boundaries.

When a family has abuse; be it physical, emotional, or sexual within a family, boundaries are ignored. Its okay for Dad to sneak into his daughters room at night, its okay for Mom to get beat up by dad, its okay for brother to watch sister take a bath.  Healthy boundaries are ignored and never set in place leaving the child to never learn what is okay and what is not. There are no healthy examples for him/her to follow.

Self respect, low self-esteem, and loss of dignity can be some of the results of having never learned what healthy boundaries are. In order to survive many will turn to trying to please everyone so they will feel loved and accepted. Susie will pretend to be the perfectly sweet girlfriend and shrug off the insults her boyfriend slings at her. She’ll try very hard to be what Mom, Dad, or whoever wants her to be leaving self behind to suffer quietly. Tommy will be okay with hitting his girlfriend or demeaning her to his buddies.

It is imperative that we all learn what healthy boundaries are and how to put them in place. In my own case, my Dad controlled me. There was mind control, manipulation, secrecy, and abuse. For years I never knew I could say, “No” to anything. It took a psychiatrist, in my later years, to teach me that I did not have to listen to the insults and demeaning and accusatory remarks that my Dad would make to me. I had to learn to say, “You will speak to me with respect or I will hang up this phone!” And I did. I set a boundary and adhered to it by hanging up the phone when he began his rants. In time, he learned I meant what I said and began to speak to me in a more respectful manner. Believe me, it is a very powerful feeling of victory when we see positive results from setting a boundary and having it honored.

That is what we must do to overcome a life without boundaries. We start small. We can’t make a legal pad length list of boundaries and expect to be victorious. Those boundaries we set are going to be fought against by some people; friends and family members that have ignored your requests are not going to like having to adhere to the new you. Stay strong in your conviction.

Once we have stated the healthy boundary we must adhere to it! If, for example, we tell someone they are not to open the bedroom door without knocking or just “drop by” without calling, then stick to it! State the consequence of the inappropriate action and stick to it. Otherwise you’re wasting your breath.

God did not create us to be door mats or to be talked down to, disrespected, ignored, or made to feel less than. Neither did He create us to be like someone else. So stop trying to please everyone else! It’s exhausting and a waste of time. He created us in His image. That means we are to be loved, respected, honored, and listened to as a child of God. If you tell someone, “No” and they ignore your no, they are trying to control and/or manipulate you. Your yes means yes and your no means no. And you don’t have to explain it!

Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend authored a book titled, “Boundaries.” They also authored a workbook to go with it, “Boundaries Workbook.” These can be found on Amazon.com and I highly recommend getting both and go to work becoming all that God created you to be.

Another book I recommend to help in overcoming the “people pleasing” issues, which greatly are tied to the issues of boundaries, is a book by Joyce Meyer called “Approval Addiction.” Also found on Amazon.com

We deserve to be respected. We cannot, and never will be able to please everyone. God created you and threw the mold away. You are one of a kind, special and loved by Almighty God. Be who you are and don’t allow others to dictate who they want you to be or to treat you less than you deserve to be treated.

Ya’ Just Never Know

The weeks have been long and tiring for the woman. Her husband has been ill and now as she stands by his graveside the tears flow. She didn’t think she had any more tears but her wet cheeks have proven her wrong.

Her friend stands beside her and places a hand on her shoulder. “He’s with the Lord now and no more sorrow, no more illness. He’s at peace.” her friend whispers to the new widow.

The widow looks at her with crinkled eyebrows. “He wasn’t a believer. He’s in hell!” She bursts out sobbing and her friend pulls her into a tight hug.

The widow sobs in her friend’s arms as the people quietly back away and begin returning to their cars. Slowly the tears abate and the widow apologizes to her friend for her outburst.

Her friend looks and there’s a Man standing near the Oak tree. He looks familiar. The friend nudges the widow. “Do you know Him?” she asks. The widow glances over to the Man and suddenly sucks in a breath.

The Man approaches her and with love in His eyes He opens His arms to her and she quickly embraces Him as tears stream down her face.

The Man caresses her back gently and whispers in her ear, “Be not downcast, My daughter, for Jack is in heaven. He gave his life to Me and has been forgiven.”

The widow suddenly pulls back from the Man, “Oh praise be to God. Thank you Jesus!” she shouts.

Her friend stands transfixed, not knowing what just happened.

Transported

 

Trees whiz past, the wind ruffles his hair, as the young man flies down the hill and approaches another steep grade in the road. His legs begin to tire as he peddles his bike up the hill. It has been a time of reflection and he isn’t at ease with his thoughts.

He peddles harder.

Finally cresting the hill he stops and gazes out over the beautiful meadow stretched out over what seems to be miles. The grass is a rich green dotted with wild flowers. The few trees reach high into the sky, and a lone bird swoops past.

He takes a deep breath, glances up at the sun, and places his foot back on the bike’s peddle.

Pushing off he coasts down the hill without the effort of having to peddle. The wind rushes through his hair, his eyes water from the force of the wind, and taking his hands off the handle bars he raises them high in the air and loudly shouts out of sheer joy.

The front wheel suddenly twists as it hits a rock in the road and flying through the air the young man hits hard as he lands several feet away from his twisted and mangled bicycle.

He lies unconscious as a Man slowly walks across the meadow toward him. The young man, in his unconscious state is unaware that he has entered another dimension.

The Man is talking to him and telling the young man he needs to get straight with God. “Only My children can enter heaven and the only way to do that is through Me.” The Man states.

The boy, in his altered state, looks at the Man standing before him and says, “Everyone says that Jesus isn’t the only way.”

“I am the way, the truth, and the life,” the man states. “There is no other way. I am the only way to the Father.”

The young man’s eyes begin to flutter slightly and gradually he shakes his head to shake off the fuzziness of his clouded mind. Slowly he sits up and sees his mangled bike.

Then he remembers.

“I am the only way.”
