The Prison

The prison is open.

It has been opened for you.

You no longer have to remain inside.

As you feel those bands

that would press themselves around you,

realize that they are only made

to seem like they are real.

I have caused them to fall aside.

If you will follow My Spirit

and just walk with Me,

you can shake yourself

as Samson did of old

and watch these chains and bondage’s fall away;

and you can go skipping and jumping and rejoicing,

saying,

“How glad and how joyful I am

that Jesus has set me free.”

My Father’s Home

8a32145aac898d7c6e5bfcd7a11858b3

By Shaun K. – Angels by Grace Pub. – Oct. 1997

No matter where I travel,

No matter where I roam,

I’m in my Father’s kingdom

So everywhere is “home.”

*

My ceiling’s made of fluffy clouds

Afloat in skies of blue.

My carpet’s woven of grass

And flowers fresh with dew.

*

My walls are made of mountains

And woods of stately trees,

My “home” is warmed by sunshine

And in summer, cooled by breeze.

*

When my earthly days are done

And I no longer roam.

I’ll still be in His kingdom –

I’ll be in my Father’s home.

God’s Faithfulness

Abraham’s faithfulness was credited as righteousness. Why? Because He believed God. (Ro. 4:1-3) God told him to leave everything behind and “go to a land I will show you.” (Gen. 12:1)  Abraham did. Why? Because he trusted God.  Our God, His Son Jesus Christ, His Holy Spirit will not guide us wrong! Why? Because our Lord and Savior is our faithful God!

“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commands.” Duet. 7:9

“For the Lord your God is a merciful God; He will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your forefathers, which He confirmed to them by oath.” Duet. 4:31

“God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?” Num. 23:19

“If we are faithless, He will remain faithful, for He cannot disown Himself.” 2Tim 2:13

“The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you.” 2Peter 3:9 “Those who know Your name will trust in You, for You, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek You.” Ps. 9:10

“Your word, O Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. Your faithfulness continues through all generations. “Ps 119:89-90

“I will not violate My covenant or alter what My lips have uttered.” Ps. 89:34

“What I have said. that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do.” Is. 46:11

Setting a Captive Free

Cyber Support Group

Years passed since the physical, emotion, psychological, and sexual abuse has passed. But the lingering pain, the memories that were buried deep so as to stay sane began to invade and torment my mind. Little flashbacks, a dream here and there would skitter through my mind but I would shove them back and hide them again. Shuck them off like rain drops on my shoulders.

Our emotional states will affect our physical state and one day I went to the doctor for some physical ailment. During his exam he asked me various questions and somehow it slipped out that I didn’t care if I lived. Without further ado, no condemnation, no sermons or “Oh you don’t want to think that” comments, he simply wrote a name and phone number on a prescription pad paper and handed it to me, “You might like to give this man a call” was all…

Gotta’ Have Faith! – Testimony

Be it hope and prayers for physical healing, emotional healing or spiritual healing, without trusting the word of God and believing Christ will do what He says He will do there can be no healing. Oh maybe a simblance of healing but the true healing, where we walk in freedom from physical illness, emotional traumas, or disbelief cannot come without a deep heart felt trust and belief in Christ’s promises. Believe, “For I have come to set the captives free.”

I was diagnosed with S.L.E. (Lupus) at age thirteen. I’ve been dealing with this illness now for ten years. I’ve never really known of it to get better the whole time I’ve had it, only a little worse each time. You know I’ve heard all my life, “You’ve got to have faith or you’ll never get better.” But I just didn’t believe it.

Finally one day I got saved, I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. I then turned away from the old life and realized theat there was a new life out there. At first it wasn’t any different feeling within me, but I started to realize that my life was about to totally take a turn for the better.

The whole faith thing was still quoted. I still had a problem believing it. My normal reaction…

The Manifestation of the Sons of God–The Ultimate Prophecy

Immortality Road

Nobody is talking about the most stupendous prophetical event that will ever take place on this tired old earth. Not a peep about it from the pastors and evangelists and the priests and prophets. They have either never been taught it, or they have rejected it outright. But no one has the “manifestation of the sons of God” on the spiritual radar screen.

It is a radical concept put forth by Christ and His apostles–that Christ will be fully formed in a chosen few thousand people, most of whom are probably treading  this earth today. It is an extreme position to take, that God would “reveal His Son in [us],” as Paul said (Gal. 1: 16). It was a radical prophecy that Christ gave when He said that His followers would do “greater works” than what He had done (John 14: 12).

Greater Than Raising the Dead?

Christ believes that…

There will be Sun but also Rain

It isn’t all love and laughter,

But it isn’t all war and pain.

Take each day for what it is

Because there will be sun,

but also rain.

*

Pray not for smooth pathways,

But strength to climb the rocks.

Pray not for open doors,

But keys to fit the locks.

*

Look for rainbows in the clouds,

And beauty in the rain.

Because it isn’t all love and laughter

But it isn’t all war and pain.
