I Surrender All. Really?

Many times we sing songs such as “I Surrender All” but do we really? Are our hearts really open to allow the Lord our God to have His way in us? When He asks us to do the hard things do we do them without question, complaint, or understanding why? What percentage of our heart do we hold back, or do we?

“He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'”

Luke 10:27

  1. It is always easier said than done. There must be some people who are blessed enough not to question or complain. Being able to surrender is a blessing in itself.

  4. Surrender……such a big word. A word that carries tremendous weight. I know I have things that I have not surrendered and I guess it’s a lifelong journey. Everyday us an opportunity to surrender, to give God my all.
    Thanks for sharing this Sue…..

  6. Thank you, Sue, for helping us ask ourselves the harder questions . . .do we really surrender all? It seems like when I finally get one thing surrendered, then He shows me something else. :).
