Fear

I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. (Luke 12:4-5)

Thus Sayeth the Lord – 9-21-07 We’re living this today.

“The persecution of Christians are on the rise. Many shall die for the faith. Those who are left are the witnesses of grace and ye shall rejoice in the Lord. The time is near when others will mock and scoff and then fall on their knees begging for mercy. Yet in their terror mercy shall be withheld for their pleas come from fear not repentance.

Stand up children of God, do not compromise for the sake of others. Their comfort leads them to dark corners of vast places that will end in destruction. The world as you know it shall perish beneath your feet. In a blink of an eye it’s over. You shall stand before His Majesty and face the music of your actions. The music can be a dance of joy or a death march. Those righteous ones shall spin and twirl like a child in a playground. Others shall drag their feet, heads bowed in shame. The shackles on their feet shall be a weight so great they cannot move their feet forward or in retreat.

Stand up My children to those who mock. Hold your head high  for the glory of the Lord shall radiate from you. It shall be so bright, like the Morning Star, that it will stun the mocker to silence. Love, Christ’s love, cannot be defeated and all you encounter, suffer, sacrifice, is for the glory of the Lord. He is the Majesty, the Holy High God, and He reigns over all that lives and dies. His power is mighty, His love never ending. He is the Most Holy High God and there is none above Him.

Kneel in prayers you sinners for you shall one day. Be blessed by His presence not by His wrath. Carry your swords My warriors for the armies are marching. Slowly, methodically they march with swords drawn. Pray for My people O’Israel for destruction comes like a thief in the night. Your enemies are near and far. Your sanctity is at stake. Stand guard on the towers, at the gates, for your enemy is just beyond the horizon. War is immanent, destruction is near. Fear not for the Lord your Guard is with you and none shall overcome His victory for all who believe.”

Question: “Is same-sex attraction a sin?”

Answer: Same-sex attraction is a physical attraction to a person of the same gender. That is, when men are physically attracted to other men or when women are attracted to other women, then they are experiencing same-sex attraction. This is a homosexual attraction, and homosexual behavior is a topic the Bible is very clear about.

Homosexuality is often lumped in with other sexual immoralities such as adultery and lust (Genesis 19:1–13; Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; Romans 1:26–27; 1 Corinthians 6:9), so it is important to note that homosexuality is no worse (or better) than any other sin. God hates all sin—no matter what it is. Homosexuality is simply one of the many things listed in 1 Corinthians 6:9–10 that will keep a person from the kingdom of God.

The Violet

Beneath the hillside’s rocks and weeds

Competing for space with other seeds

A violet with tender, fragile shoots

Fights for a stronghold within the tangled roots

And as tiny leaves begin to form

Unprepared for the coming storm

A heavy darkness overcame and broke

The plant beneath the shadow of the Oak.

Crushed and spent by feet on the run

The violet turns its head to the rising sun.

And seeks the dew of each new morn

While hiding from its brother’s scorn.

A tethered flower not free to grow

As only its windswept friends could know

The plant gains strength from the world above

And repairs itself…except for love

*

And in its own appointed time

Recovers from the silent crime

It stands so quiet, brave and still

Rooted there against the hill

Borne on wings of defiance and hope

Grappling with life against the slope

Til at last Violet raises her regal purple crown

While worms crawl silently beneath the ground.

The Real Church

There are some who say

The church is a sacred place—

And to let my feelings show

Would be a real disgrace.

So as I dressed for church

And finished with my hair—

I glanced into the mirror

To be sure my mask was there.

I heard the Lord so gently

Speaking to my soul

“My child, I long to touch you—

I want to make you whole…”

“I brought you here today—

Not for you to hide—

But that others on life’s journey

Could help you see inside…

*

“In the world, it’s hard

To let the real you show—

But here, My child, you’re safe—

It’s where hurting people go.

*

I long to help you children—

That’s why My church was born—

Come unto Me, I’ll help you mend

When you feel tossed and torn…”

My tears began to flow—and

My mask slipped to the floor—

But it’s OK—I’m welcome here—

I won’t need it anymore.
