Let Them March

Thousands of students came together in their grief and feelings of loss for those killed in the recent school shooting in Florida. In their pain they have been taken advantage of by political agenda’s that will only bring more pain and suffering to those who will be deprived of being able to protect their families, businesses, and schools if what the political agenda is wanting is passed – more gun control laws.  Even Jesus Christ abdicated defending self and others from criminals! (See Luke 22:36)

I find it reprehensible that these young people’s grief and loss is being used and manipulated for something that is the American peoples God-given and constitutional rights – to bear arms.

Yes, I agree, let their voices be heard, but in a productive and worth while cause. They’re claiming enough is enough of children being  murdered. I agree, but Gun control laws do not stop criminals from doing what the evil in their hearts dictate. Laws are for the abiding citizens. Criminals ignore laws!  More gun control laws will NOT stop school shootings, home invasions, armed robberies, rapes, and murder! We live in an evil world and laws will not stop that.

If these thousands of grieving and angry students want to stop the killing of children then march on D.C. and around the country and protest the millions of innocent children being deliberately murdered, butchered, and sold for profit every hour, every day, around the clock…

then they would be saving lives!

(actual picture of aborted baby)

Planned Parenthood is promoting weekend anti-gun march because it wants to “save children’s lives.”

What hypocrisy!!!!

Educate these thousands of students about abortion, what happens during an abortion, show them abortion videos and the real horror. Let them see a child in the womb screaming in silence as they are being ripped apart and a price tag placed on their brain, liver, and heart. Wake them up to truth and let them march against that!

Then Christ will smile on America again.

Thursday’s Pen Tip – Bearing Fruit

“Those who love the Lord Jesus Christ, King of kings and Lord of lords shall prosper.

Prosper in faith, growing in He who loves you, getting to know Him for what He is and who He is.

Bearing fruit is only possible when the Almighty is the foundation, the root of who you are and allowed to work through you and within you.

To walk in His light is but to ask. For to ask is to receive, proving you are asking for His will.

Walk in His love, seek Him in all that you do. Be faithful to His word and rejoice in His love.

“He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever He does prospers.” Psalm 1:3

Angel? Not Me!

I posted this a few years back and now it has come up again – hence time to set the record straight, again. ~~~~~~~~~~

ISN’T SHE BEAUTIFUL?    images[4] (3)

Unlike the Cherubim that have four faces, four wings, feet like a calf’s foot, and sparkle like burnished brass, (Ez.1:5-7) she resembles a beautiful woman. She doesn’t look like the Seraphim with six wings, either. (Is.6:2-3)

I have told the truth but yet I have been chastised and condemned. I’ve been told I’m a “lousy Christian,” “you don’t represent true Christians,” and a “flat-out liar,” because I wrote that we as humans do not become angels when we leave this earth. I was shocked! It still amazes me that so many Christians are ignorant as to this truth. Not just Christians, either. Many believe the lies Satan has put out there.

imagesCA5R2VU6

“THE ANGEL OF THE LORD ENCAMPS ALL AROUND THOSE THAT FEAR HIM, AND DELIVERS THEM.” Ps.34:7

“Those that fear Him.” Every Christian has an angel assigned to him or her and we like to think it’s a beautiful angel with flowing silky hair, satin wings, etc. And it’s wonderful to imagine our loved one that has died is now suddenly a beautiful angel.

But is it true? NO! (Don’t scream at me yet.)

images[5]         images[6]

Angels were created by God, for God, and to be His messengers and serve Him. “… for He commanded, and they were created. Ps.148.5

They are not to be worshiped. Only God through His Son, Jesus Christ, is to be the focus of our worship. (Rev.22:8-9)

imagesCAK3A3FT This little ceramic angel has been created by some talented person. It’s purpose is determined by its creator. That is the same as with God.

He is the Almighty Creator of all things and He had a purpose for creating angels. He made them not only as His messenger but holy, (Mk. 8:38) and they never die like we do. He created humans also with the same purpose. He wants us to be holy and to be His messenger of the gospel throughout the world. We have the choice to be holy or not to be; to believe in Him, through His Son Jesus Christ, or not to believe. Many state they believe in God, well so does Satan! God had a purpose for creating His angels and for creating every human being; to serve and glorify Him!

As Christians we do not die, we just leave our earthly body behind. “nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God being sons of the resurrection.”  Lk. 20:36 (emphasis mine) DID YOU CATCH THAT? EQUAL TO THE ANGELS, NOT TRANSFORMED INTO ANGELS BUT EQUAL TO.

So why do we not suddenly turn into angels when we leave this earthly body?  “…we shall be like Him.” 1Jn.3:2

“For our citizenship is in heaven…the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body…” Phil. 3:20-21 (emphasis mine)

Jesus is not an angel!!!!

Once we enter heaven we will judge the angels. “Do you not know that we shall judge angels?…” 1Cor. 6:3 If we become an angel when we die then we would not be above the angels. Right now we are below the angels, they watch over us.

There are many scriptures that speak about angels but there are none that say we humans become, are transformed, into an angel when we die. We live on, in heaven or in hell. If we are in heaven we are living in and with a love greater than anything we have ever known or can even imagine. There are no more tears, no more suffering, illness, hurt, or pain. We have been released by the grace of Almighty God.  We do not sprout wings nor buzz back to earth to protect those who are left behind. That is what the angels do. We bask in His presence.  If one is not a believer, well I’ve already shown part of that life in my post, “Been there-not going back!”

There is only one way to be guaranteed a seat near God’s Throne, ask Jesus into our heart. “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:5

“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, ‘If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”‘ John 8:31-32

Surf’s Up

“Surf’s up,” the young man yells. He grabs his surf board and rushes toward the water.

The waves crash against the shore and wading out toward the vast raging sea the young man jumps onto his board and paddles frantically against the waves.

Others follow with shouts of joy. A young girl hesitantly carries her surf board to the waters edge. She stands looking out at the raging water, takes a deep breath, and wades out into the sea.

Paddling towards the oncoming wave a shiver skirts down her spine. She hesitates just a moment and plunges her hands down into the salty sea to press against the force of the oncoming water.

She isn’t strong enough to skirt the top of the huge wave raging toward her and suddenly it overtakes her. Frothing foam, salt stings her eyes, her long blonde sun-streaked hair covers her face. Her surf board has escaped to the unknown.

Water swallows her up. She tries to scream. She needs air but the only air is far above her as she is swirled, slammed and tossed about as easily as seaweed with tons of water. Her body weakens as she fights to live.

“Please Jesus, save me” she silently screams.

As her body slumps in exhaustion and the last of her precious air seeps away she feels strong hands slowly lifting her. With the slight effort left in her body she slowly opens her eyes.

The face she sees is smiling, love filled eyes look at her. “You asked, My child, and I have answered. I’m here and I will never leave you nor forsake you. You are safe in My arms.”

Moments later, opening her eyes, like Jonah being spit out of the fishes belly, the young girl finds herself safely lying on the beach. People are gathered around her asking if she’s alright. Concern covers their faces and someone asks, “How did you get here? Where’s your surf board?”

Glancing from face to face the young girl weakly smiles and whispers, “Thank you, Jesus. You saved me.”

***********

As we journey through this life and face the good times, the bad times, the times of joy, and times of peace, we are safe in the Father’s arms if we have accepted His Son, Jesus Christ, as our Lord and Savior.

Surprise?

The wind is blowing moving the leaves on the tree branches as though God is blowing a big breath across the land. A Man walks across heavens field and looking around announces, “I am coming. Look up all ye that believe.”

The sound of horses hooves echo across the sky. Thunder rolls vibrating all that is in its path. The blast of a trumpet resounds drowning out the clap of thunder as streaks of lightning streak down from the heavens.

Gasps are heard throughout the cities. People stop and look up. “What’s happening?” is whispered as others scream in terror. “It is He!” someone shouts and tries to hide behind the corner of a building. Others have fallen to their knees and “praise be to God Almighty” is heard from reverent voices.

“I am coming” echoes off the mountains, the buildings, the clouds above.

Suddenly people are dropping like flies, graves are flying open, and others are being lifted bodily toward the sky. Thousands, millions, are gathered like swarms of locusts marching toward their heavenly home. Others lie dead, their flesh rotting like stale meat.

“I am coming,” the Man, the Great I Am shouts as His horse tramples the clouds and the sun turns to darkness. Screams, cursing, tormented souls fall silent and an eery silence fills the land.

The Man steps off His steed and looks about, looking across the devastation of bodies. Tears fill His eyes. He looks heavenward and tells His Father, “I am so sorry, Father. I warned them.”

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with a voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.” 1Thes. 4:16-17

Give Hope

There are times in all of our lives that we feel that what we do is not worthwhile or significant and that no one cares. There is One who does care and regardless of what society, an individual, or even small groups of people think, we are significant in the eyes of the Almighty Lord.

I have gone through those times at various times of my life. I was insignificant in a dysfunctional family growing up. But God didn’t see me that way! He gave me the ability to survive the atrocities that were being inflicted upon me by others. I was loved by the Great I Am!

Through the years I experienced what could be called “love” from others. Men who I thought I could be the “apple of their eye.” Only to be used as their “conquest.” I have experienced the rejection of others more times than I can count, but God never rejected me!

Through the years I have learned many lessons in this journey through life and most have been valuable and some inconsequential. But the one thing I have finally learned is that no matter the circumstances we find ourselves in there is One who knows every tear we shed, knows every bit of the hurt we feel, knows every disappointment, has bottled our tears and has stored them in a secret place in heaven. He knows our heart and when we reach out to Him or to others. He cares!

Today, I am feeling quite humbled that the Lord my God, my Savior Jesus Christ would use someone like me, someone who rejected Him for years, to bring hope to others who are going through tough times.

My fingers are sore. I have a callous on my thumb from a crochet hook flying through the yarn. I am greatly humbled that the gift, or talent, He has given me is bringing joy to several patients with hair loss, vomiting, and fevers from the side affects of chemotherapy. The hats and the scarves that lend warmth on a cold winter day seem like such a small gesture but the joy in the eyes of those who are suffering makes it all worth while.

There’s no intend of patting myself on the back. I give all praise, honor, and glory to the Lord Jesus Christ for how He can, and will, use me and you to bring a little joy in the lives of others.

So what is my message here?

No matter what your circumstances, no matter what life has shoved at you, you can be used by God to bring a smile, a tear of joy, and hope to others. What has the Lord Almighty gifted you with? What talent can He use through you to give hope and joy to others?

Let His Holy Spirit work through you, within you, and for you. His healing from all those life situations and circumstances will bring you the joy and peace that only He can give and with that same Holy Spirit you can share it with others. Let His light shine within you and through you and fill the hearts of others.

“Lord my God, I called out to you for help, and You healed me.” Ps. 30:2

That is the message on the little tag I attach to each item given.

Thursday’s Pen Tip # 15

“He who is on high has given His Son for the forgiveness of you! How can others who receive such a wonderful and blessed gift ignore that precious gift and withhold it from others?

Your eternal salvation does not rest on you forgiving others, but by faith in the Almighty Son of God, to forgive as you have been forgiven is walking in the ways of the Lord.

Do not cheat yourself withholding love. For it is His love for you that has set you free from condemnation, unforgiveness and be blessed by He who loves you.

Walk in His peace, with His joy filling your heart. Be as He who loves you would have you be.”

Thursday’s Pen Tip # 11

“When others condemn, Christ stands fast. When others moan, He who is Mightier than all, prays.

Be as He who is on high. Give praise to everything. Rejoice in times of peril, for He is with you. Cling to Him for He shall guard and protect.

Do not subject yourself to the cruelties of evil, for you are a child of the King. By His authority you have immense power and stature. Stand tall in the face of satan and he will depart.

Let not others dictate what is to be, for He on high is the Master of all, even the lowest of lowest.

He shall guide your steps so remain solidly planted on His foundation.

God, O’ Mighty God, let there be peace in all nations and all people’s. In Jesus name, I ask.”

Thursday’s Pen Tips #9

He who is on high wants only the best for those He created, and He created all.

God Almighty would very much desire to have you as His child. He wishes all to choose Him as their Father. And, yes, it is a choice.

God, through His Son, Jesus Christ, asks you to accept His unconditional love. To accept His eternal salvation. For His grace will set you free.

It is by grace that you have been saved. To accept His grace throughout eternity, you must do the following:

1. Believe in your heart that Jesus died and arose for our sins.

2. That Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

3. Confess with your mouth that you are a sinner.

Did you think that God would make it difficult?

Praise be to God Almighty that He loves all so much He made it as simple as 1-2-3 to become His child. Praise be to God.
